Start with the outcome
Lead with the business problem, the customer or operating consequence, and the decision that needs to be made. Technology comes after context.
Make trade-offs explicit
There is rarely one perfect option. Good advice makes the cost, risk, reversibility and organisational impact of each path understandable.
Stay close to delivery
Strategy loses value when it cannot survive contact with engineering reality. The feedback loop between intent and execution must stay short.

My career began hands-on: building software, integrations and cloud platforms, then leading teams and complex delivery. That progression still shapes how I work. I can move from executive consequence to engineering reality without losing either.
Today I lead Enterprise Architecture at Perpetual Corporate Trust in Sydney, working across Business, Engineering, Product, Data, Security and Risk. My focus is simple: help the organisation make better technology decisions and turn them into sustainable outcomes.
Earlier in my career I was recognised as a Microsoft Azure MVP and contributed through technical writing, book reviews and community sessions. I still believe credibility comes from staying curious, testing assumptions and remaining close to the work.
